1. Blow nose gently
2. Squeeze a small quantity of the gel / ointment onto a cotton bud
3. Apply the gel / ointment to the inner surface at the front of each nostril
4. Gently press your nostrils together to spread the content evenly inside the nose

Counselling

  • Gently blow the nose before applying
  • Always wash your hands before and after applications
  • Treatment duration for Mupirocin is usually between 5-7 days and no longer than 10 days
  • Avoid direct contact with your eyes
  • Do not share the the tube with other people

  • Wipe the tip with a dry tissue paper
