Step By Step Guide


1. Check the dose counter
2. Remove the cap
3. Shake well and hold the inhaler upright
4. Push the lever up
5. Breathe out away from the inhaler
6. Place your mouth around the mouthpiece
7. Breathe in deeply and continue after a click is heard
8. Hold the breath for about 5 seconds or as long as comfortable
9. Remove the inhaler from the mouth
10. Breathe out gently away from the inhaler
11. Push the lever down
12. Replace the cap

Counselling

  • Check the dose counter to ensure enough doses until next supply
  • Make sure the inhaler is not expired
  • Make sure breathing is continued even after a click is heard
  • Rinse mouth with water and spit out after using a corticosteroid inhaler

    • Cleaning & Maintenance
  • Clean the mouthpiece with a dry tissue paper
  • These inhalers must stay dry and should NEVER be washed with water
  • Replace the inhaler when the dose counter window shows 0
